D dorian is a very common and great scale or “mode” to have under your fingers and you can use this scale practically anytime you see any type of D minor chord. In this lesson, we will also explore the Dminor 7 arpeggio and an exercise that will get you familiar with each of the arpeggio’s chord tones. I will also introduce Seven D minor Chord Voicings. If you found this lesson helpful and you would like similar information on some other scales, arpeggios, and chord voicings please check out Lesson 7: G Mixolydian, the G7 Arpeggio and Four G7 Chord Voicings, and or Lesson 8: The C Major Scale, C Major 7 Arpeggio and Six C Major Chord Voicings. Being an individual and finding your own voice is not an easy task, but it is extremely important in the world of improvisational music so please be patient and try your best to come up with your own ideas. I hope you enjoy this lesson.
